Alexander Gavrylyuk - CD and DVD from VAI In May, 2005, a 20-year-old pianist walked away with the Gold Medal in the Arthur Rubinstein Piano Competition held in Israel. The pianist was Alexander Gavrylyuk, who overwhelmed the jurists with his phenomenal technique and artistic maturity. Shortly thereafter he was videotaped in a wide-ranging, critically acclaimed recital at the Miami International Piano Festival where he had made his American debut two years earlier. This recital has been released on both CD (2 disc set) and DVD. The DVD contains a bonus interview in English. In 2007 Gavrylyuk returned to Miami for another acclaimed recital. This has also been released on DVD by VAI. Alexander Gavrylyuk has just completed his Australian tour, with acclaimed recitals in Melbourne and Sydney (23rd & 24th April 2010). He once again proved himself to be a master of his art, and his CD and DVD releases are a must-have for all lovers of exceptional piano playing.
